Letters to Santa
December 10, 2015
Dear Santa,
My name is Tiffany. I am 7 years old, and I want to write to you because I know that you know how naughty or nice kids are, and this is my last chance to get on the nice list. My brother has been very annoying lately, and I want to fix things with him just in time for Christmas, but I don’t know how! He says that I have been mean to him, and I just think that isn’t true. I just need some space and don’t always want him pushing me. Is that bad? Anyway, I want to know what you think I should do to fix this problem. To thank you for helping me, I wrote you a poem.

P.S. I want a doll and outfit for Christmas, just thought I’d let you know.
Dear Tiffany,
I received your letter last week. I have been so busy trying to make all of the toys for boys and girls that I haven’t had much time to respond to letters, but I never forget. The holidays bring joy and happiness to people all over the world. Don’t forget that.
I heard that you have had a little trouble getting along with your brother. My advice for you is remember that he is younger than you, and he just looks up to you. When he annoys you, he is probably trying to get your attention and only wants to spend more time with you. Try spending some time with him over break and get to know him as more than just a little brother. I will help by giving some of my magic to you. Enjoy your Christmas!
Since you wrote me a poem, I wrote you one, too!

Dear Santa,
Thanks so much for the advice! When I spent some time with him, I found out that he just wants to get to know me, and now, he does. I kinda realized that he is my little brother and will sometimes just be his annoying little self, but now, I know that I shouldn’t assume that’s how he always acts. He’s kinda cute, too, and I hope he and I will stay close for a while.

P.S. My brother is too young to write you a letter, so I asked him if he wanted anything for Christmas. He wants a fire truck.
P.S.S. I wrote you another poem. Can’t wait till Christmas!

Loved this! It’s a very creative idea to express the magic of Santa. I’m so happy that the newspaper is doing to great! It’s one of the things I miss most about St. Robert.
