Bucks Paper

As everyone approaches the winter season, many basketball teams begin practices and games. The Milwaukee Bucks are a basketball team in the National Basketball League. They have a rising franchise led by their star Giannis Antetokounmpo, and they hope to have a very successful season. 

Mitchell, an eighth grader from St. Robert School, states that “the Bucks make me enjoy the sport of basketball because they are entertaining to watch.” The Bucks are a very good team and are championship contenders this season. They are led by their star player from Greece, Giannis Antetounmpko. Other well known players on their team are Eric Bledsoe, Brook Lopez, Khris Middleton, and Wesley Mathews. Last year, the Bucks lost in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Toronto Raptors. A playoff series is out of seven games which means a team must win 4 games to advance. The Bucks lost against the Raptors in the seventh game of the series. Despite their tough loss last year, fans are still excited about the upcoming season. Mitchell also stated that “the Bucks are a more interesting team to watch than the Brewers.” The city of Milwaukee loves basketball and one reason many people have begun to watch is that they began playing in a new stadium last year, which everyone enjoys. 

The Fiserv Forum is an innovative stadium that was built one year ago for the Bucks. The old stadium used by the Bucks was the BMO Harris Bradley Center. Additionally, the arena was occupied by the Marquette University men’s basketball team. The Bradley Center was not attractive enough for the Bucks franchise, and the NBA required an updated space in order for the franchise to stay in the city. The Bucks are a growing NBA team and to ensure they stay in Milwaukee, they needed a new arena. Both teams – the Bucks and their collegiate counterpart, Marquette – moved to the Fiserv Forum, but the Bucks are the owners and the primary users. The total amount spent on the high-tech arena was 500 million dollars. Furthermore, the arena has many key characteristics most arenas do not have. The exterior design of the arena is extraordinary, and half of the arena is covered in glass windows. Another unique part of the arena is the panorama club, which is located at the top of the stadium. The club has doors opening out to a balcony that overlooks a skyline of Milwaukee. Lastly, within the stadium, there are many restaurants and attractive technology. The most popular restaurants in Fiserv Forum are Chick-fil-a, Sobelman’s, and Cedar Crest Ice Cream. Along with all of the food options, the stadium’s interior has a total of 800 televisions and a jumbotron. These attractions lure fans in and give the Bucks many fans. 

In conclusion, the Bucks are a rising franchise and are big championship contenders this season. They are led by their star player, Giannis Antetounmkpo. Also, they continue their season with their new high tech arena. The Fiserv Forum draws in numerous fans and shows off how impressive their arena is. The Bucks goal every year is to make it to the playoffs, but this year their hopeful they can go all the way to the championship.
