Aliens are a big part of American culture. Aliens are in movies, TV shows, and some people even say that they have been abducted by them. There have been sightings of UFOs all over the US, and after reviewing all of the alleged evidence there are people who spend their lives trying to prove the existence of alien visitations. A video of supposed UFOs was leaked in the year 2017, but the government never confirmed that the images were real, but now in 2020, that same video has been released to the public. This time the Pentagon has stated that the video is real footage taken by a pilot; the footage is of “unexplained aerial phenomenon.”  This is not the first footage of an unexplained aircraft, but now with social media, the video from the Pentagon has gotten a lot more attention. Other videos of alleged UFOs were released in 2004, 2007, and 2015. Most of the videos have been shot by navy pilots in flight at high altitudes, but at times others have claimed to spot UFOs hovering above bodies of water. The videos released by the Pentagon reveal an object flying through the air. In one of the three videos, the object appears to be rotating mid-air. The Pentagon noted that the videos do not contain any sensitive information or security threats, but that the objects in the video remain classified as unexplained aerial phenomena as even the government cannot be sure what they are.

Now in our modern age, there are not only videos of these supposed UFOs, but there are also stories from people that claim to have been abducted by aliens. Many people have said that they have been abducted and experimented on by aliens. These stories are some of the things that inspired the many movies about aliens. The movies all show beings from another world that has come to Earth to seek havoc. Whether people have truly been abducted or not has not yet been determined, but people do seem to enjoy hearing their stories. 

With all these sightings being shared on social media lately, there has been a resurgence of people who openly theorize about aliens. There have been documentaries made by these people and their quest for knowledge. Some believe that ancient civilizations like the Egyptians or the Myans were visited by these aliens, and that is why they were able to accomplish many architectural and ingenious accomplishments despite a lack of technology and knowledge.

While confirmation of extraterrestrials may be hard to come by, the world will continue questioning and toying with the idea of other life forms. Whether or not there is any truth in the matter, aliens continually draw in great audiences.
