One of the biggest musical festivals in the United States: is Summerfest. The great event is located right in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Famous singers and other locals will perform at the festival, where thousands of people flock to hear their music. This year the music festivities are open June 20-22, June 27-29, and July 4-6. Summerfest has a lot to provide, including fun, food, and most importantly, music. 

Summerfest invites different musicians to perform. For 2024, some big artists plan to headline the festival. SZA (Solana Amani Rose), Kane Brown, Mötley Cruë, Illenium, Tyler Childers, Keith Urban, Ajr, Maroon 5, and Lil Uzi Vert are all included in the Summerfest Lineup this year. Some many other singers and groups aren’t as popular that will be performing as well. Some of these singers will have the opportunity to grow in popularity after people listen to them at the festival.

People who are attending may be returning or going to Summerfest for the first time. St. Robert 8th grader Carolina, who is attending SZA on June 22, says, “I am very excited to attend SZA. I’ve been to many Summerfest headline concerts and they always have such great artists. I saw The Lumineers last summer and their venue was so great and it was very easy to get around. It was a bit crowded on the fairgrounds but inside the venue, it was not as crowded and it was just such a great place to experience a concert.” Many other people may agree with Carolina since Summerfest is meant to let people experience a fun time.

Summerfest also provides many different businesses to sell food. This can increase the business’s revenue and grow more customers for the place. Some food vendors that are there are Cedar Crest Ice Cream, Charcoal Grill and Rotisserie, Cousins Subs, Saz’s, and Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria. There are many more different places that attendees can enjoy. There may be new food places that will be opened. The food is an additional cost with the ticket. St Robert School raises money for the school as parents and faculty volunteer to work drink stations. All of their wages and tips support St. Roberts. 

Overall Summerfest is a great festival for almost all age ranges to attend. All the items they provide for the guests are very nice and it’s a great way to hear favorite artists that come to Milwaukee. Some people might say it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
