New Faces

Since early December we have added seven new faces! St. Robert is pleased to welcome: Colin Kness, Makayla Coleman, familiar face Liam Keane (fifth grade), Colin Corr (first grade), Mathew Corr (fourth grade), John Dunn (seventh grade), and familiar face Lily Keane (eighth grade). To all of you, a warm welcome from your new family.
St. Robert is an ever-growing community of faith, love, friends, and learning. Go ahead and jump right in to become part of our faithful family! There are many activities that you can take part in. St. Robert offers volleyball, basketball, and track if you like sports. From first to fourth grade you can take part in Little People’s Basketball; there you will learn the fundamentals of the game. Then, in fifth grade and on, you can put your skills to the test and compete against other schools in not only basketball, but volleyball and track. From the super fun fair in June, to the Battle of the Books competition, to the middle school musical, St. Robert always has something fun to offer for every age and interest.
Another fun activity St. Robert offers is the Student Leadership Council. This is a great place for middle school students to help out with fun community service projects and give back to the school. Students give speeches in the beginning of the year to promote themselves in the student election. This year, the SLC (student leadership council) has raised lots of money and donations to help many in need.
Lily Keane, eighth grade, has come back to St. Robert School after living in Belgium for almost three years. Lily’s school in Belgium was very different to St. Robert. She says that the biggest difference is all of the nationalities that were in her school. “I have friends from Nigeria, UK, France, Fiji, and Turkey,” Lily says. Although, she is very glad to get back to her friends here at St. Robert. Lily notices that a few things have changed at St. Robert while she’s been gone. “Technology has really changed because now we are allowed to bring in our own devices as a learning tool,” says Lily. It’s great to see the Keane family back!
Welcome to all you new faces. We’re so glad you’re here and we hope that as you develop into our community that you take advantage of all the great opportunities!
