As I walked in, the the warmth of sixty people hit me along with the smell of the best pizza restaurant around.  I heard 30 different little conversations combined to make one big noise.

I’m talking about Zaffiro’s of course.

It’s a family owned business and when you walk in it has a nice feel. Or you can sit outside when it’s warm, but I usually sit inside. It’s usually bustling in there and there is usually about a ten minute wait. If you make reservations though you can be seated instantly. There’s also a bar but I think it’s better to sit down at a table. The dining room is lit by candles at each table and I think it has a pretty cozy feel. Their best appetizer by far is their mozzarella sticks. The salad and breadsticks are also very good too though. The mozzarella sticks come really warm and are great dipped in tomato sauce and come in a basket of about 6.

Then, for the main meal their best pizza is definitely their classic sausage and pepperoni pizza. They’re huge and when they come the sweet aroma wafts up and fills the whole table with an amazing smell as you’re thinking finally food! The first bite is like biting into heaven & heaven tastes pretty good… at least I think it does. You always leave full after eating one of those. Another good option is their ravioli, which is also really good.  You can also get their Italian beef sandwich which is another good option.Those are my personal favorites and I’ve been going there since I was about three, so I would consider myself an expert on their menu and what to order.

One of the reasons that Zaffiro’s is special to me because it’s a tradition to go there when our cousins come to Milwaukee also, I have lots of good memories from in there. So if you’re visiting the area or haven’t been in there yet you should check it out and make some good memories of your own.
