Before joining the Messwood football team,  I have to admit I was a little bit scared to join.   Mainly because I thought I wouldn’t know anybody.   But I was thrilled to see that some fellow St. Robert friends of mine were also doing Messwood football.  Aidan Frazier, Sawyer Ryan, Jake Nation, Frank Corrao, and Jack Mueller were all on the team.  Before the season even started I knew already that we were going to have a blast.

Since the Shorewood Messmer football team brought in so many players, we had to split up into two teams.  Sawyer and I are on the Red team and Frank, Aidan, Jack, and Jake are on the Gray team.  The Red team is 4-3 and the Gray team is 4-3, but the records don’t mean anything.  Both teams have had very good seasons so far and all of us hope to keep that up.  Both teams only have one more game so it would be awesome if you could come to support us out on the field.

This is my first year playing for Messwood, and I have loved it. One of my favorite parts of the program is the coaches, all of them have a great sense of humor and know how to have fun while learning and practicing. With the coaches, teammates and the amazing surrounding environment, I will definitely be back next year.  If you’re going to be in sixth, seventh, or eighth grade next year, and are looking for somewhere to play football.  I strongly recommend the Messwood program.  It has a great location, Shorewood High School, and the practices are right after school.  Aidan, Frank, Jake, Jack, and Sawyer are all eighth graders this year so they won’t be back on the Messwood middle school roster next year.  That means we’re going to need a lot more St. Robert representatives to join the team to show dominance for our school.

Remember to try to support your St. Robert friends by attending a Messwood game if possible, your support will be greatly appreciated.  The Red Team plays their last game on Wednesday, October 30,  at Shorewood High School at 5:30 p.m.,  and the Gray Team plays their last game on Thursday, October 31, at Shorewood High School at 5:30 p.m.
